Graceful Christmas Craft Boutique and Vendor Show Arrives in Willoughby

The Graceful Christmas Craft Boutique and Vendor Show will take place on Saturday Dec. 10 from 10:30 am to 3 pm at Grace Episcopal Church at 36200 Ridge Rd. in Willoughby.

The show will feature vendors from ten different direct sales companies including:
- Tastefully Simple
- Scentsy
- Thirty One
- The Pampered Chef
- Premier Designs Jewelry
-Mary Kay Cosmetics
- Kinsey Rose Bows
- Beauticontrol
- Tupperware.

The variety of crafts and goodies include but will not be limited to:
Córa, decadent cupcakes, Santa Seek-n-find Shakers, handpainted silk scarves, homemade fudge/chocolates & fabric holiday items, crocheted baby hats & homemade dryer balls, All Around Town books

Euclid Assembly #83 Rainbow Girls will be serving hot lunch platters as well on the lower level.

Basic Yoga Beginner’s Workshop with Anne Ondrey and Paula Gardner

This 2 hour workshop on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Harmony Yoga Studios, 38123 West Spaulding St., is designed for brand new beginners and intermediate students wanting more detail to postural alignment. This is a great way to learn the basics in an intimate non-competitive environment. We will take you through the fundamentals of alignment and breath work as you begin to experience for yourself some of the benefits that arise from practicing yoga such as:
1 -Increased flexibility
2 -Increased strength
3 -Cardiovascular and digestive health
4 -Sense of well being & relaxation

In this workshop you will learn proper yogic breathing techniques, sun salutations, standing poses and hip openers. You will be introduced to back bending, forward bending and inversions. Workshop will conclude with a deep relaxation. Wear comfortable clothing. The workshop will take place from 1:30-3:30 PM and cost $30.

What is discothèque?

You may have seen an advertisement, Facebook post or blurb on Twitter about ‘discothèque’ taking place EVERY Friday Night at Ballantine in Downtown Willoughby. It’s hard to give a great description of what this is all about in such a short post, so for the curious and interested, this is for you.

discothèque is a mobile dance party, with the aspirations of bringing a new and refreshing experience closer to home. We provide some of the greatest music you’re going to hear in the area including your favorites from the radio, and your new favorites you haven’t even heard of quite yet. From the most popular tunes in the TOP 40 and their danceable remixes to the biggest hits in the electro house/dance scene – this isn’t your normal ‘jukebox’ experience.

Why discothèque?

Aside from the great selection of new, favorites and classic tunes – there’s much more to the experience. This isn’t your usual DJ who plays songs off of their iTunes – we use professional gear aimed at providing seamless transitions to keep the party going. On the fly remixing and mashups will grab and keep your attention. Plus, we’ve got the essential dance party lighting to follow us around as well. We do our best to provide the best club experience for you and your friends – plus, we love what we do. (Oh, and it’s free!).

Where is it?

You can come join discothèque weekly at Ballantine in Downtown Willoughby every Friday Night from 10PM until CLOSE. We also host special events around Holidays and occasionally on Saturday’s at Ballantine as well. Be on the lookout for future gigs elsewhere in the area as well.

Holiday Open House at The Wood Road Salad Farm

The Wood Road Salad Farm in Madison will be hosting their 2nd annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 3 and Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 am to 4 pm.

Although the Maggie Fusco and Justin Kopczak are normally found at the Willoughby Outdoor Market from May to October, they will be showcasing hand-crafted wreaths and table arrangements made from freshly cut and locally grown evergreens at their farm.

As an added bonus, the Bevans, who are also market vendors, will be firing up the wood oven to make their famous bread for both days of the event.
