Last Stop Willoughby 2012: Entertainment

One thing we learned last year is that the concerts in the gazebo throughout the day were a big hit.  Not wanting to disappoint, Joe’s Music has gathered an eclectic group of bands to play throughout the day.  Here’s is the schedule for the day.

Noon – 2 p.m. – The Pic Nics

The Pic Nics are a surf band bar none. They are a regular backing band for the Ventures/Nokie Edwards and have done many gigs with them. The Pic Nics are also a favorite at classic car shows.

2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Music takes a short break for the parade

4 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. – Joe’s Music Kids Band

This group has been together for over a year and is really jamming!  The Joe’s Music kid’s band plays a variety of styles from Adele to Led Zeppelin.  The ages range from 8-18 years old and they are currently in the recording studio. Their last 2 gigs were: Willoughby Rib Cook off and Willoughby Brewing Co.

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Black Sheep Pipes and Drums

A fantastic new spin on Classic Celtic music. Modern favorites and classics performed in the fife bagpipe guitar and drum format. Cool Celtic.

6:45 p.m. – 8 p.m. – The Two Souls

Tom Provenzale and Gary Lee perform retro fantastic harmonies of past classics…Beatles etc. Both men are members of the band The Kwiklees and are former members of the Mersey Beats.
