Life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrest can happen at any time, and having hands-on experience with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) could potentially save someone’s life.
The Willoughby Fire Department offers FREE hands-on CPR training at their station at 37000 Euclid Ave. The 30-minute course is open to anyone, not just Willoughby residents.
The informational course covers:
- How do I recognize cardiac arrest?
- What should I do?
- Can I harm the patient?
- Why is continuous-chest-compression CPR better for cardiac arrest?
- When should I stop?
The Friends & Family CPR course is offered any time, but is not a certifying or credentialing course. To register, please call Willoughby Fire Prevention at 440-953-4344.
