“This rash of crime is most disconcerting,” says The Divine District Facebook page.
A third piece has gone missing from The Divine District. The newest sculpture, titled “I Spy” disappeared this week. Two other sculptures, “The Bike Rack”, and “3 Goddesses” were stolen in October.
The difference between the other two pieces and the newest one is the previous works were metal, and “I Spy” is made completely of small plastic toy pieces, according to The DiVine District website.
Some artists have been so upset with the recent rash of crimes that they have removed their artwork from Vine Street, dampering revitalization efforts.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the artwork can contact the Willoughby Police Department at 440-953-4212 or their anonymous tip line at 440-975-0873., or return the piece to its location.
